About Livingston Alive

Livingston Alive was an idea thought up by myself, Mark Bonallo, a Livingston Resident. I decided to create the website as there was no other website on Livingston. There had been a huge website on Livingston. Unfortunately this closed down in March 2002. I also thought that no website offered a place for both residents & visitors to come to find out things.

Livingston Alive was formed in March 2002 and officially opened on the 1st May 2002. When the website opened it did not have a lot of input from the Livingston Community. However once the website was up & running it got listed immediately in all major search engines and immediately became a hit.

Since Livingston Alive opened, I have heard it talked about in the community quite a lot. I also had local stores such as The Scottish Store to place information pages on them on my website. I also went along to the Mill farm to put some information on that online.

Now in its sixth year, Livingston Alive has grown nearly ten-fold since its beginnings.

It is now a regular haunt for people wanting information on local events at Howden Park Centre and at the local cinema.

It also boasts a comprehensive directory of shops in the Almondvale Shopping Centre, and Livingston Designer Outlet (formerly McArthurGlen)
